The sun caresses your face. You open your eyes, breathing in that faint pine scent that permeates everything. You feel rested and renewed. When you walk out to the kitchen, past the warm, glowing fireplace, you're met with smiling faces and the calm buzz of friends making breakfast. Fresh berries, warm oats, hot tea. You pitch in, chat, laugh. After everyone's nourished, Shannon leads you in some gentle yoga outside or in the cozy attic. Then on a walk through the woods, taking in that clean, brisk mountain air.
You learn to prepare quick and healthy lunches. Then Shannon conducts a meditation, some stretching, a tutorial on detoxing. You have time to read, write, draw, reflect, or go for a kayak, swim, or steam bath – moving through each activity at your own pace. Then dinner: Group prep learning new ways to make curries, stir fries, soups, salads and desserts. The night draws to a close slowly, gracefully, with easygoing conversation outside or by the fire. You adjourn when you're ready, drifting off to bed for a night of uninterrupted sleep.
